HELP.
I'm installing a new motherboard (Intel Desktop) into a new case - Enlight EN-7254.
The trouble I am having is geting the motherboard onto the case without it been dangerous when switched on.
The Mobo manual reffers to the case manual for attaching it. The case doesn't have a manual, and their site is down.
As expected, I have 10 holes on the mobo with 10 holes on the case.
However, I have 4 plastic spacers, and 4 metal screws.
Now, surely if I plug the metal screws into the case, I will short circuit the motherboard? I can't get the plastic spacers to fit in anywhere.
There are other screws provided, but again, I expect these are to hold the hard drive/cd rom in place - but was also short circuit the board.
Also, I assume I should place the screws downwards from the motherboard into the case?
Thanks for any help.

If your case came with the usual bag o' goodies, there should be several things called risers. These screw into the case, and then the mobo goes on top, thus being elevated about half an inch. The top of a riser has another hole for screwing in the screws that will hold the mobo in place (with plastic spacers between the mobo and the top screws).
Risers are octagonal-shaped (or hexagonal-shaped, can't remember), about half an inch in height, and have a hole in the top and a screw for a bottom. They look weird if you've never seen one before. :p

Brass standoffs and metal clip being installed
You can cut off the threaded portion or peg on the plastic types if you need to mount them on the motherboad when there is no matching hole on the panel.

Thanks so far.
These "risers"... I have some things (Some attached to the case already, and some extra's) which look a bit like tripods. If the motherboard is stood on these, it doesn't touch the case (about 1 cm off case). The brass standoffs, I assume, are then plugged through the MB, and into the "tripod"? Therefore this standoff would actually touch the MB and would not have any form of protection (little round pieces of paper).
This been the case, it's a matter of putting the plastic standoff's onto the centre "holes" on the mb where the board has a (metal?) rivet piece?
Assuming this is correct, I should be on my way.
Thanks again for the help so far. My previous motherboard I installed (an Abit) sempt a lot easier.

Do the "tripods" look like these?:

I have used them, but like to put an insulator between them and the motherboard. You would use a screw through the top of the motherboard to fasten the board to them rather than use the brass pieces.

Ugh! I hate those 'tripod' things! Those are a form of riser/stand-off, the cheap form. I always remove those and put in the real brass risers (if you have them) because they're better than the cheap tripods.
The mobo can be placed on the risers just fine, and most mobo's have a protective metal ring around the screw holes, meaning you don't need any plastic washers for the top screws either.
What's so much more difficult with this mobo vs the Abit? Usually if you've installed one mobo, it's a lot easier from then on.

Yes .. the tripods do look like this http://common.ziffdavisinternet.com/util_get_image/1/0,3363,sz=1&i=17447,00.jpg
I found the Abit instructions far easier to be hontest - and it had washers. I thought this would have been straight forward though.
Thanks all.
