A co-worker of my new son-in-law has asked if I would re-format their hard drive and install Windows 98 for them. Should be no problem. I have boot disks with all the necessary files and they brought the Windows CD. Now all I need is Packard Bells password so I can get into the BIOS setup, or at least boot from a floppy. It won't let me do either without the password. Does anyone know what their default password is, or where I can get it?
Thanks for any info. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Search for a jumper to clear CMOS setup on mainboard, it may located near the battry.Set it to clear,if you cant find the jumper remove the batrry and carefuly short the + and - terminal of it.this removed the all previous CMOS setup and passward also. You have to enter the all cmos setup again
