A while ago the power supply on my pc burned out probably caused by power surge. I replaced the power supply, double checked all the connections, checked the power supply, but the computer doesn't boot up and doesn't beep. The light comes on, the fan runs and the cooling fan on the motherboard is also on.
Can somebody give me a couple of hints, so i know what to look for to solve this problem. I'm not a computerwiz, so please explain clearly.

Hello belgiumspark,
Welcome tohttp://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif Forums!
No beeps at all is definitely not a good sign! :( There's a good chance that the fried Power Supply could have done damage to the Motherboard...
Others might have some other ideas...

Probably a good idea is to start with a barebones boot. With CPU, motherboard, keyboard, case speaker, video, power, power switch and one stick RAM try to boot and see if you get a POST beep. If you don't, next would be the same type of barebones out of the box on a nonconductive surface like a piece of cardboard. If still no POST, try a different stick of RAM. If still no boot, you probably have a bad CPU and/or motherboard. The only way I know to test that is swapping with a compatible mobo and CPU...
If it does POST, post back here with more details about your system, what troubleshooting you have done and what is working so far....
