Yesterday the pc worked fine. today the harddisk 9seagate) won't boot. i put the harddisk in another pC and it does boot. I put it back, load 'failsafe bios settings' and SOMETIMES it booted.
Using Seatools I found the harddisk is perfectly oK.
from a certain moment the PC doesn'tboot at all anymore.
Clearing CMOS, changing CMOS-battery, changing agpcard, reinserting memory, disconnect all other cards and cables (including the harddisk), changing power supply : the system won't boot.
Most of the time I get beeps, sometimes I don't .
The pOSTcodes shown are not consistent (CF, 60, 26, a.o.) but most of the time CF and quite often 60 [HOW do I get into the cMOS setup utility if I can't start ??])
What can I do ?
Although I didn't flash the bios and I don't think a virus was writing into the bios; could it be caused by a corrupted BIOS? If so : is there a way to get started again?
