My comp has xp pro installed, ASUS A7V8X-X mobo, Athlon 2700, Kingston DDR, AGP GeForce Graphics card, and a 100 GB WD HD installed.. If you need ne more info, just ask... ne way one night i left my computer on(which is usual) and when i woke up the next morning, I had a lovely blue screen. I restarted hoping that would do the trick by unfortunatly it didn't. When i restarted it run through POST but give me a blue screen right before windows started. It would read my drives, and all that but before or when it started to load windows, blue screen. The blue screen said Windows has detected an error and needs to be restarted to prevent hardware damage, or somthing like that. It said something like IRQL is not greater than or equal to. When i put in boot cd and started from disk, In windows setup, when it is loading files, a blue screen will appear toward the end of loading files. I put an empty HD in and hoped that that would work, but I can't install windows without the Blue screen
ne suggestions?

Are you saying that you reformatted and tried to reinstall and that you also tried to do so on another hard drive??? If so, did you disconnect the first hard drive when you tried to install the second??

If this is the case, you probably have bad RAM or some other problem....

Please be very clear about what you have done and what did or did not happen....
