I know this is dumb but make sure video card and memory are clamp down good. Try another video card , if you have the luxury.

Hey,
Try installing the memory in DIMM 1. Some motherboards are finicky about which DIMM slot they will read first. On some, it doesn't make any difference, but check your motherboard manual to see what it says about it.
Reseating the video card is another good idea, or even move it to a different slot. However, I really think this is a memory issue. If you have a smaller size memory module lying around, try that as well. And make sure the memory you have is supported by the motherboard. Check for things like parity vs. non-parity, buffered vs. unbuffered, correct voltage and the maximum size and speed the DIMM slots will support. Make sure your memory module meets the specs, then very carefully insert the module into DIMM 1, taking precautions against ESD and making sure the clamp-down levers on both sides that hold the memory module in actually swing over and clamp down like they're supposed to. You can find tutorials on how to install memory on the net. Just do a search.
Post back with your progress.
Good luck.
