Hi
I think I mistakenly set my machine up for alvin and the chipmunks. All my audio and video is playing at double speed.
Is my hard drive to fast?
W2K SP4, P4, 7200 RPM HDD

Hard drive being too fast isn't the problem. 7200rpm's is pretty much standard. If you are using a program to play audio try a different one or sheck and see if you have it set to play at 2x. Is this a problem with everything? Does it happen in games or playing cd's on the cdcd drive?

Hi
It is double speed only while I am capturing either DV or analog and when I do a play back of what I captured, in premiere it plays normal.
I have to set the player to 50% in order to see and hear it right, everything is there and "GSpot" says everything is alright and I have the right codec, DirectX says everything is fine.
The only thing I can think of is the drivers, but that doesn't make sense.
I'll try using another player but because it is also double speed in the capture program I do not think this is the problem

Hi
Since I started this whole thing I have 3 reinstalls making various dramatic changes here and there.
All the documantation that came with the board lead me to belive that everything on the board was Intel based. The video is SIS. On the last reinstall after hardware wizard installed Intel audio drives I decided to try the SIS audio drivers... well you probably notice the lack of complaint in this posting
Well lets get the complaining back, Acknowledging that documantation has come as far as it has since the time of 8088's, stating that the audio is "AC'97 CODEC" might not be enough when there are 3 different drivers on the CD
