I am running a pIII 450 w/256 and W2000. I have a router through which I am connected to the internet with cable access. I have another computer which also accesses the internet.
My problem is that I keep losing my connection to the internet. The only solution is rebooting. Its not that I have to clear the temp internet files, I do that and it doesn't help, and this a.m. alone I have had to reboot twice. The other computer doesn't have this problem.
Any suggestions? The only possibility I can think of is that system sometimes hangs in sleep mode, and I hear a sound like the hard drive is trying to spin (could be the cdrom) and can't quite get past that point (then I have to cold boot). This has only happened 2x.
Any suggestions? Also are there any special tweeks to IE6 (btw I have two browsers, this happens with both browsers). I am not currently running zone alarm.
