I have a RCA hdtv with the built in web browser,The TV has the RJ45 connector already installed. Just wondering if there is some way to make this thing work with a DIALUP connection.
Thanks

It may well depend on the model - the ones shown HERE (http://www.800stereo.com/rca-tv.html) that have a browser window all require broadband.
The software in these setups is often very out of date such that one may have a limited surfing experience.

OK got it working.
What I done was.
Connected by HP Laptop which is running Windows XP to my TV using a RJ45 crossover cable. Played with the network settings (run the wizard) come online with my ISP and run the browser setup on the TV and the browser come right up.Looks real good. But I see that I will need to buy the optional keyboard for the TV. I was surprised how quick that I could browse with the slow dialup connection I have. I just connect @ 28.8 on a good day.
Thanks
