I need input on 2.1 speakers. I am interested in purchasing speakers for $40.00 or less over the internet. Does anyone have any advice on the MANY choices out there?

Go to newegg (www.newegg.com) and buy the Logitech Z-340. best 2.1 speakers IMO.

Thanx Deagle, Logitech Z-340 is one of the best speaker deals that I have found. I hate to spend a lot of $$ on speakers because I need them for occaisional game play and some music.

Ditto. I have the Z-340's and I wouldn't recommend any other 2.1 speakers. Watt-per-watt, they're just as good in audio quality as the best 5.1 or 6.1 surround speakers. They produce some noise at the highest volume setting, but then again I've never come close to using the highest volume setting.
