Hi I belong to another Forum and I went back to it to view my answer and when i did the printing on the screen was to wide and i had to scroll from left to right but when i scrolled to the left and came back to the right the left side of the printed page was PARTIALY missing and when i clicked on REFRESH it came back on as a full print page again! I tried it on another forum that had answers to wide for the screen and it did the same thing! IS THIS A GLITCH IN THESE FORUMS OR IS IT MY NEW WINDOWS XP Computer and if its me HOW DO I CORRECT IT? Any ideas please let me know? Thank You TOM
Actually, I think it is a "glitch" in IE...I've had it happen before, with just about every version I've run and like you said refresh "cures" someimes. I think IE just gets confused and doesn't use the proper screen size, if it happens more than occasionally try running the IE repair tool (add/remove -> IE -> repair...should be the same for XP).

Hi, MJC: You maybe right but i cannot find internet explorer repair on this xp to run the fix and i looked real good in add/remove! Also the web site you gave says CANNOT FIND SERVER everytime i click on it! Do you have any suggestions on how to find it? Thanks TOM
Does IE show up at all in add/remove?
If it does click on it and then the repair option should be there.....

No it doen't show up at all there, I couldn't believe it!
Well I guess that means IE doesn't have any more problems that need to be repaired...I think I'll retire now and go fishing! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif !
Ok...this may be a little harder than I thought, maybe we'll have to wait around a little while and see what else comes up...
Hmmm...XP is the NT (win2k) kernel...what version home or pro?
And what repair/troubleshooting options are available to you in XP?

Its the Home version and they have HP Help support (suppose to be live) but i think there dead, when you ask them a question, you never know when they will get back to you and then they don't seem to know any answers! Maybe if you could hunt around for me and i will do the same, one of us should come up with something?

Mjc, I found the internet explorer Repair, but it says in windowsxp it is best to uninstall it and re-install it and it should replace files that were damaged! So what do you think, should i try it? TOM

I have windowsXP not me or 2000 and its so new i cannot find out anything on it yet! Did you find any sites with XP (troubleshooting)?
Nope no XP ts sites...yet, I guess then the reinstall route may be the way, but if this is a completly new system with XP preloaded, try the manufacturers tech/warranty...new is new and it should work (but we all know what that really means--emphasis on SHOULD).

I am going to send you an email that came to me from Intel and Microsoft. It may or may not help. Hopefully it will.

Thanks Kevin, I will be waiting for the email! TO MJC, I found out that INTERNET EXPLORER is NOT in the ADD/REMOVE Programs because it is PRE-Installed and you won't see it there. but if you upgrade to 7 or what ever then you will see the upgrade in there. Also if you have trouble with the upgrade then you can always RESTORE the original INTERENET EXPLORER in WINDOWSXP. Also HP has a NON DESTRUCTIVE RECOVERY FOR THIS IN THERE TOOLS MENU If you get the original damaged! Just thought xp users would like this info.
OK...thought it might end up being something along those lines...sheesh, I gues somebody really thinks that it will be hard to "break" XP...but in the "real world" I haven't found a piece of software yet that won't have a problem sometime, somewhere. So it can be "restored" or repaired...just more difficult to do than before...good to know.
