Hi,
does anybody know why, when I recently built my new comp. using a 1Ghz chip and ABIT KT7A motherboard, that the BIOS showed it initially as 750Mhz. This I changed in the BIOS to the correct 1Ghz. However my system keeps getting run-time errors, freezes and is slow accessing explorer and menu options. When the BIOS is set to optimize the system, it reduces the chip speed to 750Mhz! Anybody know why it should do this? Is there the posibility I've been supplied with 750Mhz chip?
would appreciate your help.
thanks,
Wings
