Hello
I have a A7V Motherboard with an DURON 750 MHz and 512 Mo RAM, BIOS v6.
I have bought a Pinacle DV video acquisition board (Studio DV) with the software Studio 7.
When I run this software, after a while but never at the same time, my PC stop and get freezed and I need to reboot it.
In the documentation of Pinacle, it is said that this PCI board need to have an IRQ not shared.
Presently, this board placed in slot 5 get the IRQ 9 but shared with:
VIA Tech 3038 PCI driver to USB Universal Host
VIA Tech 3038 PCI driver to USB Universal Host
IRQ SCI used by ACPI bus
IEEE 1394 OHCI PCI host driver
NETGEAR FA311 Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter
IRQ Holder ACPI for PCI IRQ Steering
IRQ Holder ACPI for PCI IRQ Steering
so a lot of things!!
AS I don't use the LPT1 port, I have desactivated it, and reboot.
Now the IEEE 1394 take place in the IRQ7 but has been followed by the VIA Tech drivers.
IEEE 1394 OHCI PCI host driver
VIA Tech 3038 PCI driver to USB Universal Host
VIA Tech 3038 PCI driver to USB Universal Host
When trying to use the video acquisition software, I still have the same problems!
So I have tried to reserve the IRQ 12 (not used) in the BIOS with the following seting:
Slot 4/5 IRQ [12]
Now the IEEE 1394 take place in the IRQ12 but has still been followed by the VIA Tech drivers !
Question 1 : How can I configure the settings of my motherboard in order to allocate a non shared IRQ to the IEE 1394 PCI borad ?
Question 2 : Now each time I reboot my PC, the boot sequence is stopped at the line
