dear friends,
please tell me ..solution for this i am going to attend an interview
i am using windows 9x operating system

A motherboard has a inbuilt video card. if i installed a separate video card and if it gives problem how to solve that.
then will i get the irq conflit regarding that. if it happens how to solve that.
will inbuilt and video card will work simultanously ?
in safe mode can we solve that. if the video cards give me the resolution problem how to solve that.
these are the questions asked in last interview.
please give me a solution

As far as I know, this can't happen. To disable the onboard video card you will need to access BIOS and disable it from there. As for what to do when problems occur...ummm...wait for someone that's more knowledgable.;)

Actually, it depends on what kind of video card is the addition...if it is a PCI card then yes, chances are it will work together with the onboard and allow a dual monitor setup.

Some onboard video subsystems must be disabled by a jumper. Some use a jumper and a BIOS setting, tho I've only seen that on a proprietary system.

IRQ problems... hmmm... wait for someone who knows that old stuff, or go to a bookstore and read up on it in an A+ study book. :D Most will let you "skim" a book in order to see if you want to buy it. ;)

Here is an other possibility just plug the thing in and off you go. I had a rig with on board video and an AGP slot. It didn't have a jumper or a BIOS setting to disable the on board video. You just plugged in the card it took charge of things and you were off and running.
