Have seen posts on the net that supposedly allow a Canon Multipass C5000 to run on Windows XP. I tried to follow those instructions but I may not being doing it right. Can anyone help me in step by step instructions? Canon doesn't support this printer in XP and I'm getting frustrated!

The work around does not recognise the c5500 after I install it.

This was the only reference to a workaround that I found...

The Canon site declared the C5000 to be incompatible with WinXP as you noted...

If it does work, the importance of removing all other drivers would be top on the menu...

I would read through the documentation from Canon regarding removal of their drivers and follow meticulously...

I would then go into SAFEMODE and see if anything remains in Control Panel in the Printer Folder...
