It is better to check the ampiars(currant) of battery inspite of voltege because some time bad battery may saw correct voltege, but if check it's ampiar with multimetre it.you may take proper dissition.ampiar must be in between 150- 200 miliamp.

Boot your PC and enter its setup mode.
Write down all of the settings from the various menus.
Power off your PC.
Open the case and locate the battery on the motherboard. See your user manual for specifications about the battery and its location.
Obtain a replacement battery from a local or online computer parts dealer.
Remove the old battery and replace it with the new one.
Document the date you replaced the battery.
Replace the case and power on the PC.
Enter your PC's setup mode.
Reenter the settings you have written down from the various setup menus

sure you know all this http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Hey,

Most motherboards take battery no. CR-2032. You can buy it at any drug or department store. Probably run ya $2.00.

Good luck.

seems ok now , but i have been having alot of hard drive related problems(failure)(as im sure youve seen in my other posts). Dont know if they are related but if another goes out on me , then i guess it could be the battery.
