I installed a 10\100 ethernet card in a model 2286 Compaq.
System booted up fine, thought I'd do a friend a favour and add
32mb pc100 ram to speed it up a bit. When I booted up system with new ram
it locked up. I proceeded to remove the new ram , now on boot up I get this message: "Invalid system configuration Data - run configuration utility. WARNING: IRQ not configured - PCI on Motherboard.
Bus:00, Device: 01, Function: 02." Press F1 to continue or F10 to enter setup. System will boot through if I press F1, F10 enters setup.
I even ran Compaq recovery disk to format harddrive and recover factory settings, removed ethernet card, still getting same error messages.
Please help.
