Okay, heres one for you guys. To begin with when i kept turning on my computer (athlon600, not sure about motherboard, sorry), it kept just beeping at me, and wouldnt boot up, it would just show blank monitor screen, and kept beeping. after restarting generally about 20times, it would suddenly kick in and work fine. UNTIL few days ago, when it stopped working completely. now it just doesnt turn on at all. what the hell is up with it. Im pretty sure I havent fried anything. please help, my girlfriend needs my computer to write her dissertation on, and it doesnt work at all!!!!!

I would start with the power supply, check it if bad replace it, try that if not post back. And best to you and your computer.

Open up the computer carfully don't touch any thing turn it back on look see what is running (like the fans} while your in there look see what motherBoard you have,What size power supply you have etc.Are the beeps coming from the speakers or the system? And in what sequence are the beeps, how old is the system, it might be time for a Bios up-date?

How many beeps? simply check that- 1. All your cards ( video/modem/etc..) are pushed in properly, 2. that the same goes for your RAM

This sounds like you've just got lose peripherals.I doubt it's your power supply, if you have a bad one, it doesn't beep-it just dies! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
