I have been building many pc's (all the same mobo, hardware etc). Before I finish closing the case, I test it out to see if the cd-rom, harddrive etc. are working correctly.

Normally I will hear the normal single beep that tells me everything seems OK. Just a recent build I tested had another extra beep before the normal OK beep I usually get. They don't sound a like. The beep in question is more faint and occurs a few seconds after power on.

Can anyone tell me what this means? Anyone else run into this sound? Should I just ignore it?

Note: Everything is brand new. No OS is intalled.

What mobo is this? Do both beeps come out of the case speaker? Does it adversely affect the boot-up process? Did you use any different hardware this time? Are there any USB devices connected (recent thread - funny)?
