hi,
I want to install my new WinXP on my machine that is doing a wonderful job with win 98SE. I was wondering, in order to test the new operating system, if it is a wise decision to partition my c: drive in two parts (with partition magic) and install WinXP on the second partiion. Then I could chose to boot with winXP and if everything goes fine for a while i`ll keep it. If instead everything goes worng I would erase the partition with XP and go back to the "old faithfull".
what you think?
is it possible to put a dual boot with XP?
thank you

Howdy

I just did a dual boot of XP on my 98SE machine. It works great!
I installed it on a second slave hard drive but I believe
a separate partition will work also. Be sure to choose new install not upgrade. Make the partition plenty big as the full install is around 2 gigs

I'm no computer wizz and it went quite smooth http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

have fun
