I have a P4 3.2ghz
ASUS P4C800 Deluxe
1GB Ram
Leadtek nVidia GEforce FX-5950 256mb
SB Audigy 2
LG 16x dvd
Pioneer 106 ide 4x dvd writer
2 Seagate 160gb 7200 setup with raid 0
windows xp home with all updates
Antec case with 400w power supply

My problem is the system keeps shutting itself off for no reason. Sometimes it is just after I turn it on and sometimes it could be on for hours before it happens. When I turn it back on it boots normally.
I have checked for virus's and worms.
Any help would be appreiciated.
Thank you
Barrie

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif forums!

Same thing happened to me a while back. It turned out to be the power supply failing. If you have a spare PSU, or one that you can gank from a friend, try swapping them. It also could be a mobo problem, but try the swapping the PSU first.

Hope it's that simple!

I tried memory tester and it found that one of the modules had errors. I hope removing it will solve the problem

Thanks for the help
