I'm using a TT Silent Boost HSF at the moment on my AMD XP Barton 2800+, and a Gigabyte 7N400-Pro2 mobo, with an ANTEC Truepower 480w. They work pretty fine.

However I was attracted to the new Gigabyte 3D Cooler-Pro hsf and bought it, but when i installed, there was this 1 long(sharp) 1 short(dull) beepings, till my system auto-shutdown after 5 seconds, even though the fan and its LED were running well. There's no POST as well. When I changed back to my TT fan, everything's ok.

Does this mean my mobo can't support the GB 3D cooler? What happened? I have followed the installation on the manual.

From what you've said, I concluded that the heatsink is somehow not making contact with the cpu. Your comp shutdown because of the new protective feature of the Nforce2 chipset keeping you from frying the cpu. I don't know how to solve it but according to this (http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardware/Reviews/pcu21vg/) review, the Gigabyte Heatsink isn't an improvement over your TT.
