Hi,
I have bought three MS 6533EG-LM P4 motherboard NEW and I assemble it
with a Intel Pentium 4 2.4Ghz 533 FSB.I assemble the computer and everything work fine except when I shut down my computer, the keyboard
Num light stay on.I know it is not the computer and other parts because
I tried another board and this time the Num of the keyboard go off.
I try everything that the MSI technician told me to do and it stay on
when I shut down. And all three motherboard do the same.I want to know
if someone had a problem like that with this kind of motherboard.
I don't know what to do anymore with that problem.
Thank You.

Just a thought, check in the BIOS, and see if wake on keyboard exists, and if it is enabled.

Everything that the technician of Micro-Star taught it was in the bios
include wake on and other things in the bios has been enable and disable
and no use, nothing work. The only thing to do is return the board to the
company, I try a Asus and Aopen motherboard and they work perfect with
the same computer and I didn't have to go to the bios and change some
things.
I thank you for you suggestion.

I don't mean to imply that your PC shouldn't work the way you want, but is it such a big deal that a little keyboard LED stays on?

I ask the MSI technician twice if it matter that the keyboard light stay
on when I shut the computer and they didn't answer me,it mean something
wrong. And someone told me that his computer do the same and it is because it pass too much voltage in the board and he has to disconnect
his computer each time he shut the computer{not normal}.Let say that
you have a short in your modem or others parts,it will do the same thing
the light of the keyboard will stay on and you can burn other parts if
left to long that way.
Thank You.
