Hey gang, I have a friend with a compaq PreSorry0 running Win98. The Pc was running fine before she moved. She had the PC in the back seat of the car From New Orleans to Houston. When she arrived to Houston and tried to boot it comes up with the safe mode screen but it will not respond to mouse clicks or keyboard commands. I do not have anymore specs because I have never seen the PC in working order. I believe she has the restoration disc and other software. I thought I would check with the experts here at the PC guide before I did anything. Should I just pop in the restoration cd or can something else be done? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

apparently she has knocked some thing loose I would pull everything and reAssemble making sure that everything is reseated properly even memory all cards, HD,cables etc.And see if that makes a difference first?

If it is out of warranty, open it up and check all the connections, something could have come loose during the move...if it still is in warranty make Compaq do it... http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
