Hi, as you will notice my native language is not english, then i want to apologize for any inconvenience.
I´m new here, and my problem is with my new computer, i assembeled it by my self, and when i turned it on for the first time and i wanted to enter to the bios setup pushing F2 y just got a screen with the following data.

Entering Setup...

That is all i can see, and the computer never enters to the setup.

i really appreciate all the help you can give me, because i don´t have any idea what could be the problem.

My system has the following especifications.

Pentium IV 1.7 Ghz.
MOBO. intel D850GB
128MB system Ram
video card NVIDIA Geforce 2 AGP 32MB

Does your computer work, other than not being able to enter setup?

A couple of things you could try is: 1) Check the CMOS jumper on the motherboard. Make sure it is set to the Normal position, 2) Remove the CMOS coin type battery for a few minutes and reinsert, 3) Press F2 again, after you see the message, "Entering Setup".

How long did you wait for the computer to enter Setup? Long enough? Not long enough?

Do you have a USB keyboard?

Have you double-checked all connections? Have you re-checked all jumper switches on the motherboard to make sure they are set correctly?

If you have not installed an operating system yet, try to boot up with just CPU, Heatsink, RAM, video card, monitor, keyboard and mouse. You should be able to POST and get into the BIOS setup. If not, post back and we'll try to think of a few more things to check.
