When I try to dial out, the modem works but immediately fails and it displays
ERROR 678: THE COMPUTER YOU DIAL IN TO IS NOT ANSWERING.TRY AGAIN LATER.
All the times I try to connect, it is always like that. But my father still connect successfully. I don't know why. I can't ask my father about that problem because he doesn't allow me to do anything in Internet.
SO I NEED YOUR HELP ! PLEASE HELP ME !!!

Hi Blade, it sounds like it could be a dial up number problem or a modem string problem. A bit more info would be nice, in the meantime try a google search for "error 678" it may help you track down the problem.

I would first check the number called(dad might have changed everything), then I would make sure of my sign on name and pass word, using the right typing case. I sure hope you get it going and welcome to the PC Guide.

To YODA74 and uncleel: I am not allowed to use Internet not because I'm too young or smt else. I'm now 18. The only reason my dad do that is I surfed the web too long so the phone bill became very expensive. That's all !!!
