I have a PII 300 Mhz with 64 Megs of memory. I was installing a 128Meg SDRAM memory chip. The system would not boot. All I get is 2 beeps, 8 beeps, 2 beeps, and then 1 beep. I reinstalled the old memory and still get the same beep sequence. There is no video signal going to the monitor. Any help would be appreciated.

put the new memory in the first slot leave the old mem. out and boot if she boots put in the other mem.if not then the stick you bought is probobly no good take it back and have it tested.

Make sure you didn't knock something lose like the vid card or an ide cable (very easy to do) while you were fiddlin in there.
