I want to enter into the world of animations.
From where should i start?
some folks say that learning "Flash" is the starting point.
Suggestions!!

As much as I am elated to see someone use a preposition at the beginning of a sentence instead of the end, the concantenated version, "Where should I start?", is sufficient. Ok, grammar lesson done. :D
I would start with a book or online source for this kind of stuff. Do some Google searching and find a bookstore nearby that will let you sit down and read before you buy (those Flash books are expensive!!). I do agree that Flash is a good place to start, but my knowledge isn't very extensive in this area.
thnx Saphalline for ur grammer lesson.:)
In fact, I live faaaaar away from any English speaking nation.
Most of the conversational English i've learned is from "this" medium- the internet.;)
Coming back to the subject, i posted this same thread in another (local) forum; and a folk there suggested that "Macromedia Director" will be a better choice for a beginner bieng a bit easier to learn than Flash.
Any disagreements?

Well, Flash and Director are both made by Macromedia. Director allows more flexibility and is able to import Flash content into projects, so I guess it's more cool. Don't know much about it myself, but Director sounds at least as viable as Flash, so it's probably as good a place to start as any! :D
