Ok, I just got some new Corsair Low-Lat PC3200 Ram, dual double-sided 512mb sticks. I've been waiting on this RAM for a long time now, and I've been using the same RAM for about 2 years (I think my sig has the old stuff, Generic PC2700 [was underclocked from "PC3200" but the guy obviously sold me **** RAM]). I had some Corsair a while back on my old mobo, but it constantly froze/BSOD'd so I went back to my old stuff while I sent that stuff back to Corsair (never got anything back, haven't been able to get squat from them on the phone or email). My friend ordered some from the same company (newegg.com) 2 years ago, along with mine, and hes still using his stuff, no problems. Well, here we are 2 years later and I've finally got enough now to buy some more (new mobo, new RAM, want to finally have some RAM thats properly clocked). Well, I wasn't surprised when my NEW ram BSOD'd on me during 3DMark03. Since my last encounter with Corsair (everyone says its the ****, I didn't expect lightning to strike twice with me), I've learned about MemTest86 (memtest86.com) and I put my NEW Ram in to test... as I look upon it now, its on Test 5, block move, 64 moves, cached. Its counting up from 162,000... now 180,000 errors. I'm wondering what experience everyones had (if at all) with Corsair or bad Ram in general... its really starting to piss me off and I don't have 300 bones to blow everytime a company shafts me on Ram. Any suggestions on what I should do to ensure my Ram gets replaced? I've only had a hardware issue once before (PNY, I popped some SMD's from the back of my ti4600 and got it replaced) and I don't have much experience getting my stuff replaced. What are the odds that both times I've ordered Ram from the same high-end manufacturer (just stopped at 192 thousand errors), that the Ram would be bad?

[edit] Sorry about the language, I'm normally much more docile in nature... this really got to me though, sorry.]

Try uping the Vdimm and see if that stops the errors with MemTest. If that doesn't work try relaxing the memory timing in bios.

I'd love to do that, but I'd also like (read above) to have my Ram clocked to its stock specs first and have it run properly. I'm sick and tired of running broken hardware, how much do I have to pay for someone to send me a decent stick of Ram? BTW, the second batch of Ram I ordered was for my mother (same make/model Ram) and it came with a busted stick, one doesn't even WORK! I'll try relaxing my settings a bit, but that doesn't change the fact that Corsair and/or Newegg have got me from behind three times now, and its starting to get a bit sore. Thanks for the advice, I wasn't even going to fool with it but as long as I have it I'll fiddle with it, see if I can't get it the least bit stable. :)

If you can get it to run by changing the settings, at least you know that it is not incompatible with your MB and that it is just out of spec.

Did you try one stick at a time?
