I have just recently formatted my hard drive there wernt too many complications and i came out of it with a fresh hard drive. When i booted my computer up i found everything was blue.
on later inspection i found that it was the colour settings on my flat panel monitor which are not showing any RED.
i have tried re-installing drivers with no sucsess i need all the help i can get.
(i have a DELL pentium4 2.5ghz, 384mb RDRAM, 80gb HD and a nivida geforce4 mx)

See if the same thing happens in Safe mode. If it works ok there, then uninstall and reinstall the drivers, and also make sure that the MB's chipset drivers were installed.
If the same thing happens in Safe mode, then make sure your monitor is securely connected.
If that's ok, then check its connector for any bent or broken pins.
If that's ok, then connect your monitor to another system, or connect another monitor to yours.
If the same thing happens to yours on another system, or if the other one works ok on yours, then replace yours.
If yours works ok on another system, or if the same thing happens with another monitor connected to yours, then make sure the video card is fully inserted.
If that's ok, then try a different video card. If that fixes things, then replace your card.

DITTO what ski just told you. That is a pretty comprehensive guide. Follow it and your problem will be solved

I agree with ski and classicsoftware. Follow ski's advice it will determine the problem and therefore the solution.
Its sounds like you are not getting any voltage to the red pixels in the display. With any luck it may only be a loose connection or a badly seated video card.
Good luck lets know how you get on.
Thanks:)

First of all i would like to thank you all for your help especially Ski.
Thankfully it was just one of the pins in the cable connecting the monitor to the computer which was bent out of place. i would have never though of that.
Thanks again.
