When I boot my computer, everything turns on except the monitor. It starts beeping in a high-low-high-low sequence. I started having the problem spontaneously one day. I changed nothing before it happened and the monitor and video card is fine (done some swapping). Before, It took several power on switching for the monitor to finally turn on and the computer to work normally, but now it(monitor) can't even be turn on anymore no matter what. What I mean by turn on is that it does not receive video info even the my video card is fine. Anyone know what's the matter?

try reseating your video card and check the pins on the back of the monitor cable, they could be bent.

The hi-low, hi-low beeping is a system warning that the CPU/Mboard has problems. It acts as an alert warning.
Not all Mboards/BIOS systems have this option.
Luck.

Ranchdog has that one right. Enter the BIOS at startup and check the temp of the system and CPU vs. when the alarm goes off. If it's set to low just increase the temp that the alarm goes off.
