SORRY FORGOT TO TELL THAT ONCE I REBOOT THE COMPUTER WITH THE GATEWAY BOARD AND THE AMD CPU , IT WORKS FINE UNTIL A MESSAGE APPERA THAT SYS " UNABLE TO WRITE TO DIK IN DRIVE C DATA OR FILES MAY BE LOST" I ALWAYS CLICK TO CONTINUE AN SOMETIMES EVERYTHING IS OK AND SOMETIMES I HAVE TO RESTART THE COMPUTER
Make sure all of the hard drive's cables are securely inserted, and it's jumpered as Master on IDE 1.
Run ScanDisk to see if can fix any problems with the hard drive.
Otherwise, just reformat it and reinstall Windows.
Do you use the 'format c:\s' command when formatting?
