I would like to copy VHS tapes to DVD. I have a DVD burner, Studio 9 and MYDVD software. I have looked at many somewhat expensive packages, some over $100 or 2 or 3. Most include the software. Does anyone have experience or suggestions on which products to consider? Thanks in advance. WolfpackRon.

In adddition to whatever software you need, you will need a video capture card.

When you bought the Studio Plus did you get the full package? (Studio Deluxe - With the following hardware - PCI card with 2 x firewire connections, line in jack (for sound), 9 (or 11) pin port and an extention that alows you to connect the VHS player in and out?) or did you just purchase the software? I have ver 8 (bought two weeks before 9 came out):(
If you only bought the software try poping over to Pinnacle's site and have a look at the Black Box which is part of the Deluxe version (£49.00 in the UK) but you will need the connection for it as well. (I do not know if your game port would suffice).

This should allow you to connect to your TV and/or VHS. I bought the Plus package and the lot came in the bundle. Very easy to use. Connect wires and tune into VHS channel on TV and away you go. I had my first Vid CD made in only a few hours. (Now about to try and make first DVD over the next few days).
Either that or you will need to buy some sort of VIVO (Vid in/Vid out) card.
