Will someone please help??

I have upgraded my OS from Windows ME to Windows XP. I ran a pre-install provided by Microsoft and was told my current version of CD Creator was not compatabile with XP. So I removed that version, installed Windows XP and bought the Easy CD Creator 5 software. I have since downloaded the XP upgrade of this version of CD Creator 5.

Here is my problem I try to make a backup copy of any file (Word, Excell, Quicken) I receive an error message that reads in part No supported drive. If I place my cursor on the CD/RW icon in the lower left corner of my desk top, I receive the same message.

Can someone please tell me what's going on?

Thank you

Joe B

Did you install Both of the Update/ upgrade patches in the correct order?
They must be installed correctly. The upgrade to version (a) or what ever number /letter they are using.
then upgrade it to xp again..

It ‘s a little strange but they have detailed instructions on the Roxio web site
Also Grab the new drive list update if you have a newer cd-rw drive

Thank you for the reply. I did in fact download the patches in the order Roxio gave. I'm not sure where to find the drive list update you mentioned. Can you direct me there?

I'm trying to avoid calling Rixio tech support.

Thanks Again

Here is the link to the burner support data base.

Roxio has changed the way they add support for new drives.
The drive update is now done during the software upgrade. from 5.0 to 5.02c

Your drive should be included in the update.
If you visit this link you can find out if you have direct support for you drive. http://www.roxio.com/en/jhtml/cdrdatabase/database.jhtml

If you find your drive is not listed yet. then you will have to contact them for updates
