I have an AVI movie file on my hard drive and I want to copy it to a CD-R. The problem is the film is 706 MB about 1hr 42 mins. So it won't go on one disc.
Is there any way I an do this? i.e copying it to two discs if possible, and if it is how do I do this? I use NERO BURNING 6 if this is any help.
Any help you guys.

There's several ways to do it.

Edit it with a video software, (Me, XP users?)
Use a file splitter, (software purch.)
Getting your burning software to 'Burn Anyway'... (if it is only slightly too large)

CD'Rs are not an exact science 'in a way'. Your software doesn't know this. Cd's most likely can store a 'minimum' of 700mb. But they need a 'lead in' and a 'lead out', one on each end of the cd. Just how many actual bytes the cd can hold is a risk on creating a coaster. If you do accidentally create a monster, just put it where you place (or shred) the AOL cd's. ;) and try another brand or slightly smaller fillét err, file... :o You know, Trial and err, err, err, err, Another brand of CDR might work where another's doesn't.

I had been able to manage an overburn in the past but it'll take someone else to explain, I can't remember how?!?!? It was quite accidental plus a lonnnng time ago and I didn't take notes... :(

I'll be back if I can recall, or recreate the scenario.

Then you could scratch that whole post above and compress the file prior to making a copy...
