Hey Gang,

I was just perusing the various reports in SiSoft Sandra Standard, Version 2001.5.8.11 (The te series).

Under the Mainboard Information Module, in the Voltage Sensor sub-category, the -12V leg is reported as a positive 2.53V. So what the heck does that mean? Am I headed for power supply problems? All other voltage readings are within specs.

I'm taking this report with a grain of salt, because Sandra doesn't report the memory controller of the motherboard correctly. Is this maybe the same thing? Wrong value being reported?

System Specs:

PCChips M810LM - 200Mhz FSB (I know, I know, but hey, she's stable)
SiS730 Chipset
AMD Duron 750Mhz, 200Mhz
512mb PC100
WIN 98SE

Thanks a heap for any opinions.

The -12 volt circuit is not used much anymore. It was used mainly for hardware that was connected to the serial ports in years past.
New hardware uses the serial port's +12 volt power.
However, current power supplies still include it for compatibility, but it's normally rated for less than 1 amp.
