I am building a new system, using all new components and am having some problems. I just put everything together and can't install an OS. I am using a Biostar M7NCD-A02 MB, AMD Atholon XP 2600+ CPU, and Antec 350W case. I get power on, and then just Checking DMI Pool Settings.

If I reset COMOS I get the option to Push F1 to continue, or DEL to enter Setup, F8 configure to or F9 to change boot devices. I can't push F8 or F9 to use those options. On my first boot I got to the Windows install but couldn't push F8 to agree to the EULA. All other keys seem to be working just fine. Please help me with this. TIA.

I am also getting a steady floppy light, even though I have no floppy installed.

The steady floppy light means (if I understand you correctly) that you have the floppy-cable inserted upwards down. Turn one side of the cable over and it should be fine.

The keyboard stuff may be related, not sure... Have you tried with another (known to be good) keyboard?

I flipped the floppy cable, and the floppy light no longer stays light. I still can't use F8 to agree to the EULA. I tried two other keyboards that I know work, but I will try again with the cable in correctly. Thanks again.

Just tried again with a known good KB, and it is starting to install. Hopefully this will be my only problem. Thanks again.
