Recently built a system with a Soyo K7V Dragon Plus motherboard with an Athlon XP 1500+ Cpu.The USB ports are not working. I enabled the ports in the BIOS.In both 98SE & Win2K Pro > the Device Mgrs show the USB Controllers >both say that the Controllers are working properly and Drivers are loaded.Tried installing a webcam- used different ports, cables, took the webcam and hooked it up to my other puter- webcam powered right up,98SE recognized it right away. There doesn't seem to be any jumpers on the motherboard for the USB Controllers>none mentioned in the manual. Any ideas out there? Hoping this isn't a defective board. Thank's- Dave

If you got a motherboard cd, usb drivers might be on there, see if you can find them, that might fix it.

Dave...
With this Dragon+ board you are going to need the latest BIOS upgrade available. The BIOS that came with the board out of the box is full of bugs.
The first thing I noticed about the Dragon+ is I had to leave the FSB at/below 140Mhz or I would lose the USB. Then have to enable USB Keyboard to get the USB function back.
Probably with 2K I would consider downloading Service Pack 2 also. I think VIA 4in1 4.37 is out.
Soyo doesn't want to admit it's their problem. VIA doesn't want to admit anything. The Bus Speed seems to have a lot to do with the USB problem. And for a long time there were issues with M$soft about a USB patch.
Luck.
