My mouse, on an old computer (MOBO Amtron PM-8900) with no name, quit working. I have installed a new mouse along with new IDE Ribbon Cables but it still won't work. Mouse drivers are installed but windows keeps telling me there's no mouse installed. Any suggestions?

Try a serial mouse instead of a ps2 mouse.

Try loading the dos mouse drivers with dos or windows boot disk. This will tell you if it's a hardware or Windoze problem.
