Hi folks,
I use a 20GB hard disk and a pentium - III processor
Recently my system became very slow that it took some 15min to boot windows98
so when i ran scandisk there are around 300 bad sectors
so i want to avoid the first 3 GB space which my c drive is currently using
because the rest 17 GB is absolutely fine
so i just want my hard disk to act as 17 GB hard disk rather than 20 GB
I tried formatting and reinstalling windows
Whenever i try to format c drive its just aborting after some 30% completion
please help me out

If you have that many bad sectors the likelyhood of that being all that will develop is very low, that drive is on the way out and probably would not last very long even if you partitioned out the bad areas...most drives come with a 3 year warranty, check into it and see if yours has any warranty left....
