when i play a dvd on my comoter i have a greenish tint to screen , no solor but good sound
and it does not matter if i use window media player or intervideo windvd
it all the same


has any one got any idea how to fix

If it happens only when you play back media on the DVD-ROM drive, then try the following:

-Clean the drive's lens.

-Connect a different power lead to the drive.

-Install a different known working IDE cable.

-Connect the drive to IDE 1 as Slave(assuming it's currently connected to IDE 2 as Master).

If none of those fix things, then install the drive on another system if possible.
If the same thing happens there, then the drive is probably defective.
