i am trying to load win me to a computer. when the set up is almost finished a lot of messages appear prompting me to restar the computer. the os was installed on this machine but something happened and i do not what it was.
it is a system with a intel slot 1 of 300mhz, 32 savage 3 agp card , 8.6 gb western digital hd, 128 mb of ram. two of the messages are
1 Msgsrv32 has caused error in setup.dll Msgsrv will now close
2 windows \ system \ spool32.exe file appears to be corrupt .
reinstall and try again

i check the hd with scan disk and is ok . i have tried to install win me and win 98 and always the same messages apperas. anyone can help please???

Go to WD's website and download their disk managemnet software, run the zero drive utility to completely overwrite and wipe the drive clean, this will allow you to do a " fresh " install of any Windows OS.

Once you've used the zero fill utility the do a regular FDISK/FORMAT procedure on the drive and proceed to install your chosen OS. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

When doing an install of an OS it's always best to do it from a " clean " install-on a fresh platter so to speak.
