Ok, my friend's computer has an AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (1.66GHz), with 512mb of DDR RAM, but 64mb of that is taken for his onboard video. I however, have a Intel Celeron (according to Windows, P4 according to BIOS and Norton and some games) 1.7GHz and 512mb NON DDR RAM (no onboard video so I have the whole 512mb of it). His system is WAY faster than mine. Is it because of his RAM or because AMD chips are just much faster than Intel? Thanks

Combination of both. A 1.66Ghz Athlon is faster than a 1.7Ghz P4 and much faster than a 1.7Ghz Celeron. DDR is also much faster than regular SDRAM, twice as fast depending on bus speeds.
