Hi,

I'm considering using an old PC case to build a new PC from the ground up. I've noticed that the I/O backing plate on the case will not match up with all of the I/O connections (USB, paralell, serial, PS/2 etc.) on the back of the motherboard. As this is the first time I've ever built a PC from scratch I need to know if a new backing plate will be supplied with the new motherboard I want to use or will I have to buy it seperately? If a backing plate is not normally supplied with new motherbaords where can I purchase one?

Regards,

Most newer boards will probably come with a backing plate since the backing plate on many cases don't provide sufficient openings for all the connectors available with those boards.
