Greetings to all,

Pls, I got the following error while my PC was booting up:
'Unlock Keyboard' and it remained there.
I did the following:
1. Replaced the keyboard
2. Removed the keyboard

But the same problem persists; atimes the OS will boot-up, but the keyboard will not work.

Pls, kindly help to resolve this problem.

Regards,

Gbenga.

Is there a keyboard lock with key connected to the motherboard?
My PC has one and the connections inside the lock mechanism on the front of the unit became unreliable. Sometimes it would fail to make the connection, therefore not shorting accross the pins on the motherboard. So I fitted a spare jumper across those pins to make it permanently unlocked.
Perhaps you have no lock fitted, but there was a jumper fitted across the pins on the motherboard and it has come off, or is failing to successfully make the connection.

Now that I think more about it I'm not sure if I fitted a jumper or made certain the lock was disconnected.

I don't know of any other solution but If I guess, you may need to reset the BIOS defaults.
If you decide to try that [and you should only do it when no other solution is found] I hope you already have a note of ALL your BIOS's settings. [I have all mine noted in pencil in the motherboard manual]
