I have a Acer TravelMate 510. Last evening I had it running and it ran fine. I plugged it in and let it charge over night. This afternoon I tried to turn it on but it is dead. The LED is active on the charger but the LED on the Laptop is not, so I am asuming that no power is getting to the Laptop. What could be wrong, something with the charger, or something with the laptop?

I would guess the battery has an open or dislodged.

Remove the battery and check the contacts on both ends. Make sure they are clean and the battery is making contact. I'm in agreement with
PrntRhd this seems to be a contact issue or the battery could be dead.
