I've been recording cd-r's for some time, music, data, etc. I recently got an liteon 811s dvd burner & am toying with dvd's. Naturally, in one way or other, I've produced a couple unplayable dvd's. Since these are dvd+rw's, I'm attempting to overwrite the useless content. I find though that the files were recorded in "read only" format, & it seems I can neither change this attribute nor simply write over it. I wonder then, where does the RE-write part of RW come in? Since cd-r's are so cheap, I never really bothered with cd-rw's. But the dvd's are a bit more costly, & I would like to re-write these $2.75 coasters. How can I do this? I'm using Nero burning rom 6 & DVD shrink. Is there a program that will simple delete the files on w dvd+rw, as one would an HDD or floppy?
TIA
