View Full Version : Game controller not recognized
I just bought this INTERACT Magnum 6 with 6 buttons, throttle and 2 axix. I am using Microsoft simulator (latest version) and when I enable jostick and try to add it on it shows as NOT CONNECTED. What can I possibly do ? I thought thatn a joystick did not need any fillding around?

I don't know about this particular device, but I assume that it came with a cd with drivers on; if so, then you need to ensure that (normally) the drivers are in place before the hardware is installed. The usual way to do things is: Check in device manager to see if the joystick is recognised, and if it is, but the problem still exists -
Make sure you're logged on as an Administrator and then:
Go to device manager and delete the joystick, and switch the system off in the normal way. Whilst the system is switched off, remove the joystick, and then reboot.
Install the software following the manufacturer's instructions - look for a readme file first if you can, which may show known problems with particular apps (although I would have thought everything would know about MS Flight Sim) and make any adjustments to the software it recommends.
switch the system off, reconnect the joystick, and reboot - make sure you log in as an Administrator to ensure that any options that are configurable.
Go into MS Flight Sim and see if the joystick is listed. If not, then it could be that Flight Sim needs to be re-installed. Do any other games recognise the joystick? Does the callibration system work?
The joystick was bought (it is new) on E-BAY and did not come with drivers. I will check online to see if I can download. I will report back!
