Have you checked to see if the firewall is enabled?

Did it ever work after the XP was installed?

it has never worked after i installed XP, and yes i have a firewall enabled but navigator (direc pc) has access to the internet, this is the error i get

The TCP/IP protocol is not bound to the satellite receiver adapter. Please reinstall the software and re-run the AutoSetup utility to correct this problem.

i have tries to run the Autosetup but everytime it says the service is unavailable at this time, please try again later. and believe me i have tried "later".

Rt click on My network places and in the local area connection, rt click and choose prperties. List everything that's there.

Autosetups for adaptors can be a pain - follow the above advice and list everything that is in the local area connections.
Binding a protocol is easy enough to do manually - so let us know what's there, and we'll tlak you through it.

How about disable your firewall and your ICF and see if you can connect.

connect using:
satellite Receiver USB Device

This connection uses the following items:
-Client for microsoft networks
-QoS Packet Scheduler
-File and printer sharing for microsoft networks
-Internet protocol (TCP/IP)
