I have EZ CD Creator and it won't recognize my blank CDR's. I have a Plextor external CD burner and it has burned before. The blank CDR's are Memorex 700-80. w/ white back. The program says that please place another CDR with enough space on them. These are blanks/new. Any ideas? Thanks

Which OS are you using? it could be any number of things (I've had similar problems myself, and I just needed to reboot to solve the problem) If you use XP, can it write to the drive?

I am using XP Home on my Gateway laptop. The music is on the hard drive. Thanks

Can you copy any files to the cdr using XPs built in utility? In windows explorer, right click a file and choose 'send to' and choose the cdr drive. If this task is possible, then the problem lies with the writing software you are trying to use. Some software does cause conflicts.
If it is the software, you could try CDBurnerXP Pro (do a search on this site for my post about it) it's a free utility and rips and burns music well.
If you can't choose the cd drive using windows XP's built in utility, then it's time to look a bit deeper
